Brian Cox shared a tender kiss with his wife Nicole Ansari-Cox as they attended the press night after party of their West End show The Score on Thursday evening.

The Succession actor, 78, and his wife, 56, looked happier than ever as they packed on the PDA on the red carpet.

Brian looked dapper in a burgundy velvet blazer, paired with a classic white button-up shirt, black tie, and tailored black trousers.

While Nicole stunned in a chic white and grey textured blazer, layered over a sleek black roll-neck velvet dress.

She completed the look with black stockings and added height with a pair of racy black thigh-high boots.

The couple appeared in high spirits as they posed up a storm for the camera before partying the night away.

Prior to the celebrations, Brian and Nicole delivered a spectacular performance in their new stage show The Score.

Brian takes on the role of German composer Johann Sebastian Bach, while Nicole portrays his wife, Anna. The couple also starred in the world premiere of the production.

The show features a talented cast, including Peter De Jersey as Voltaire, Juliet Garricks as Emilia, Stephen Hagan as Frederick, Jamie Wilkes as Carl, Christopher Staines as Quantz, and Toby Webster as Benda.

Additionally, Matthew Romain plays Graun, and James Gladdon takes on the role of Helstein, with Geoffrey Towers, Jordan Kilshaw, and Rebecca Thornhill also appearing.

Set in 1747 Prussia, the play explores the ideological clash between Bach, a devoutly religious composer, and Frederick II, an atheist and military strategist.

The production presents a gripping intellectual and musical showdown between the two historical figures.

Brian and Nicole – who renewed their wedding vows in Vegas in 2023 – share two sons, Orson Jonathan and Torin Kamran.

Last year, Brian and Nicole shared the story of their first meeting and how they didn’t actually get together until eight years later.

The couple said there was ‘fireworks’ during their first encounter in 1990 when Brian was on a world tour of King Lear.

However despite ‘clicking’, it wasn’t meant to be at the time, even though Brian did initially think she was ‘coming back for him’ following their evening together.

The actor told the Sunday Times Magazine: ‘I was on tour in 1990 when I met Nicole at a party in Hamburg. We talked about work and all kinds of spiritual stuff well into the night. I was 44 and she was 23, but we sort of clicked.

‘A few weeks later I was in a restaurant in Milan with the cast when she walked in. I thought, “She’s come for me,” and I stood up. Then sat down quickly thinking, “You bloody idiot,” because she clearly hadn’t. After that I didn’t see her again for eight years.’

Nicole explained the reasoning for the time apart, and said: ‘But then life took over. I worked in Zurich, Paris and Vienna and we didn’t see each other again for eight years.’

But it wasn’t the end of the road for the pair, who met again when Brian was starring in Art on Broadway and Nicole left a note with the doorman for him.

Brian recalled calling Nicole 15 minutes before the curtain was due to come up and she rushed back after he invited her to the show.

Following the show, Brian and Nicole spent the night together after an evening of tango dancing, as he admitted they have been together since.

However it hasn’t been without trying many times, as Brian told how they suffered a make or break evening in Texas two years into their romance.

He declared that either they needed to split or get married.

Nicole also confessed their relationship has faced struggles, as she claimed there were ‘four years of pure hell’, which they got through with couples therapy.
