Will rain save India from a loss against Australia in the third Test of the five-match series for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy? Rain Interruptions On Day 4 Of IND Vs AUS
So far rain has interrupted play thrice today – once during the opening session and then delaying the start of post-lunch session. The rain arrived again right after the start of the second session to add to Australia’s frustrations.
Australia’s path to a possible victory would seem to be contingent on bowling India out for 245 or less in the first innings and enforce the follow on. With most of the first day also lost to rain Saturday, Travis Head and Steve Smith’s second-day centuries ensured that India can’t realistically win the Test.
On day three of the match, rain ensured it made its presence felt by disrupting the proceedings for uncountable times as only 33.1 overs of play was possible.
On Tuesday, showers were expected and have already caused delays a

of times so far.
Brisbane Weather Forecast For Today
During the match, 70 per cent precipitation with scattered thunderstorms was predicted for 11 AM local time (5:30 AM IST). However, the play started on time but midway there was a brief interruption. And the rain returned during the lunch break delaying the start of second session.
More rain is forecast for Wednesday, raising India’s hopes of salvaging a draw and heading to Melbourne with the series locked at 1-1. India won the first test by 295 runs at Perth, while Australia came back to win the second day-night test in Adelaide by 10 wickets.
