Brooklyn Beckham has shared another of his passions with fans as he revealed his interest in vintage wine in an Instagram video for auction house Sotheby’s.

The aspiring chef, 25, who previously revealed his favourite wine is a bottle of Petrus 1979 Pomerol costing £2,500, dove into the topic further with a wine specialist.

Brooklyn appeared to be trying out a new career path, after previously causing a stir after trying his hand at both cookery and photography in the past.

The son of Victoria and David Beckham expressed his interest in wine and many have reacted by asking if he is looking to forge out a new career.

Beckham has now expressed his passion for vintage wines in a video with Sotheby’s, 

Speaking to Sotheby’s sommelier Lukas Dempsey, he said: ‘The more I collect wine, I only like to buy from [the] 2000s and above now.’

Backtracking on his previous declaration of loving 1979’s wine, Brooklyn said: ‘I think old wine — you don’t know what you’re going to get.

‘I mean, I do have some old bottles. One of my favourite years was actually the last time England won the World Cup in 1966 — Mouton [a vintage Bordeaux]. I love that year.’

Commenters on the Sotheby’s Instagram page were quick to comment on Brooklyn’s ever-evolving CV as he tried his hand in another field.

They said: ‘Is this a joke?’, ‘Only above 2000, except 1966. That year in Bordeaux was fire’, ‘[laughing face emoji] he’s a sommelier now?’, ‘Can’t wait til he becomes an astronaut’, ‘Wow new hobby of a son!’

‘What exactly is this Beckham kid? A chef? A photographer? A sommelier? Or just a clown?’Just two 14 year olds discussing vintage Cold War wine [confused face]’

The eldest Beckham child has enjoyed stints as a footballer, photographer, and, most recently, a chef – before this year launching his own hot sauce brand, Cloud 23.

Brooklyn, married to American billionaire heiress Nicole Peltz, 29, launched his very own ‘Brand Beckham’.

David shared a snap of him enjoying the sauce with his tacos, while brother Cruz posted a photo of the sauce in his burger.

Cloud 23, named after the No.23 jersey his father wore at Real Madrid and LA Galaxy, comes in two variants – Sweet Jalapeno and Hot Habanero.

He has not claimed to have had any formal training and said he ‘just loves to cook’ as he shared his passion with his followers.

But his cooking suffered an array of backlash from fans, who had dubbed him ‘out of touch’ for using expensive products.

Often sharing videos to social media on how to make his recipes, Brooklyn has recently been called out for using a £300 joint of beef, alongside black truffle – which is notoriously expensive.

Asking whether he is award of the cost of living crisis, many fans blasted the self-proclaimed chef in the comment section of his video.

A year later, Brooklyn branched out into the drinks market as he revealed he was launching alcoholic drink brand, Wesake.

He said at the time: ‘Joining Wesake unites many of my different passions, including my fascination with Japan, cuisine, and my love for Sake.’

One of his earliest ventures was photography, where he publishing his own collection of photographs in a book titled What I See in 2017.

On one page, next to a picture of an elephant in the shadows, the caption read: ‘Elephants in Kenya. so hard to photograph, but incredible to see.’

On the next page, next to a blurry shot of a crowd at a restaurant, the caption said: ‘Dinner. i like this picture – it’s out of focus but you can tell there’s a lot going on.’

While several fans defended him by saying he was ‘just a kid having fun with a camera’, it was pointed out that few of those would be handed a book deal with Penguin Books.

The 25-year-old has previously addressed the mockery over his many career paths. In 2022, he told Bustle: ‘My dad knew what he was doing at a very young age…It’s OK to be 25, 26 or even 30 and not know what you’re doing yet. You know what I mean?’

Beckham added to Insider in 2023: ‘I have more important things to worry about than people saying a little bit of rubbish about me.’
