On Sunday, Bruce Willis’ second wife Emma Heming Willis posted a sweet throwback video of him carrying their youngest daughter Evelyn Penn Willis on his shoulders while strolling through Manhattan.
The retired 69-year-old could be heard quietly talking to his now 10-year-old child before using his acting skills to warn her: ‘I don’t have to chew on your leg!’
At that, little Evelyn giggled with glee while pressing her tiny hands against Bruce’s (born Walter) cheeks.
The vintage clip appeared to be filmed around 2019 – three years before Willis was diagnosed with the brain disorder, aphasia, which later evolved into a frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnosis.
The two-time Emmy winner’s 46-year-old care partner – who boast 1M social media followers – captioned the cute daddy-daughter clip: ‘The best seat in the house.’

Bruce’s 33-year-old daughter Scout LaRue Willis commented on Emma’s post with two happy crying emojis.
And Willis’ 30-year-old daughter Tallulah Belle Willis commented: ‘Love.’
The Die Hard alum and Heming – who wed in 2009 – are also parents of 12-year-old daughter Mabel Ray Willis.
‘I’ve never tried to sugarcoat anything for them. They’ve grown up with Bruce declining over the years. I’m not trying to shield them from it,’ the FTD advocate said in her Town & Country cover story last month.
‘What I learned from our therapist was that if children ask questions, they’re ready to know the answer. If we could see that Bruce was struggling, I would address it with the kids so they could understand, but this disease is chronic, progressive, and terminal. There is no cure. Obviously, I don’t like to speak about the terminal side of this with them, nor have they asked. They know that Daddy’s not going to get better.’
On November 1, Emma and ghost author Michele Levy Bender turned in the first draft of their untitled 2025 book dedicated to scared FTD caregivers like herself.
‘It’s the book that I wish I had been handed when we got the FTD diagnosis. I wish I had heard from someone, like, “I know this feels horrible and very traumatic, but you’re going to be okay,”‘ Heming explained.
‘We had so many plans, so many beautiful things we wanted to do with our girls, so many things that we wanted to experience together. You just rip that page out completely, and then how do you rewrite the story? I’m learning how to take some control back.’

The Make Time Wellness co-founder is ‘grateful’ for the support of her blended family – including Bruce’s 36-year-old daughter Rumer Glenn Willis and ex-wife Demi Moore, whom he divorced in 2000 after 11 years of marriage.
‘They’re very supportive, very loving, and very helpful, and a lot of people don’t have that,’ Emma noted.
‘The family respects the way I’m looking after him; they really support me. If I need to vent, if I need to cry, if I need to rage — because all of that can happen and it’s okay to have those feelings — they are always there to listen.’
Next year, Heming will be honored with the Susan Newhouse & Si Newhouse Award of Hope from The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (AFTD) for bringing awareness to the incurable disease.
Meanwhile, Willis – who’s amassed over $9.4B worldwide for his films – shot his final acting performance as Valmora in Jesse Atlas’ 2023 body-hopping action thriller Assassin way back in 2021.
