Cancer survivor, 8, was pushed down stadium stairs by drunken fan at Bills-49ers game, mom claims

A mother is claiming that her eight-year-old child, a pediatric cancer survivor, was pushed down the stairs at Highmark Stadium by a rowdy Buffalo Bills fan during Sunday Night Football.

A Facebook post about the situation has gone viral after Mikey DeCamilla shared the experience that her family had at the game between the Bills and the San Francisco 49ers.

She shared that her daughter, Mia, who has battled embryonal sarcoma (per her GoFundMe page) was bumped down the stairs by a Bills fan.

Along with images of Mia dressed in Niners gear, holding up signs saying ‘I Beat Cancer! My First NFL Game!’ was this caption: ‘Sadly we left earlier than planned. Yes, the Niners are losing, but unfortunately we had to deal with the police because a drunk Bills fan decides it was cool to pass my husband and I and pushed our eight year old daughter Warrior Mia DeCamilla (down the stairs, in section 312!)

The mother added, ‘If you are this type of Bills Mafia fan please unfollow our family now.!!!!! Also, I hope the a**hole who thought it was cool to push a kid that stood in the cold with her cancer free sign was so worth your win!’

The Orchard Park Police Department and the Buffalo Bills did not immediately respond to DailyMail.com’s request for comment on this matter.

After news of the family’s story spread across social media, multiple people connected to the league and to the Bills reached out to try and spread awareness.

Former wide receiver Antonio Brown amplified Mia’s GoFundMe page – which went on to blow past its $10,000 goal and now stands at over $16,000 at the time of publishing.

Buffalo area journalist Kate Glaser also posted the video from DeCamilla, saying, ‘The Bills have also reached out to provide Mia a better stadium experience with a future visit.’

The DeCamillas are 49ers fans, but hail from upstate New York – where the winter has already gotten underway as snow fell early and often.

Western New York was battered by lake effect snow throughout the weekend, but fans and staff managed to dig out 23 inches of the white stuff to get the game on as planned.

And it did not disappoint as fans took to social media to share their love for the conditions – from the warmth and comfort of their homes.

For fans inside the stadium it was a slightly different experience, as social media clips emerged of them climbing to their seats through layers of snow, wrapped in coats and scarves for the big game.

Throughout Saturday and Sunday, volunteers arrived at the stadium to earn $20 a hour and some free hot drinks for their efforts in helping to clear snow from the field.

The conditions eased in the hours before kickoff as officials removed the tarp from the field, but shortly before the game began the snow began to fall heavily.

Battling through the squalls and snowfall, the Bills were able to come out on top 35-10 thanks to a great performance from quarterback Josh Allen.

Allen became the first quarterback in NFL history to run, pass, and catch for a touchdown in the same game.

He became the 12th overall player in NFL history to accomplish the feat, the fifth player in the NFL since 1970 to do so, and the first to record a touchdown each way, incidentally, since 49ers running back Christian McCaffrey did it for San Francisco in 2022.

Buffalo also claimed the AFC East title with five games to spare – being the first team this season to win their division.
