A car enthusiast has insisted that potential car buyers avoid purchasing five types of sedans ‘at all costs.’
The experienced reviewer, known online only as Bev, explained why he believes these particular sedans are not as car-tastic as other vehicles in a recent video.
‘I wouldn’t recommend these Sedans to my worst enemy,’ Bev said.
Four of the five vehicles Bev claimed were horrible were compact or mid-sized, but he also discussed the alleged issues with one luxury sedan.
More than 500,000 social media users watched the video, and despite the controversial comments, Bev was clear on what sedans he believed were the worst to own.

Kia Optima
Bev claimed insurance companies are not interested in covering Kia Optimas
The Kia Optima, which is now known as the Kia K5, was the first sedan Bev trashed in his October 18 TikTok and he said insurance issues and the engine were to blame.
According to the TikToker insurance companies don’t want to cover the cars because they’re ‘easily stolen.’ He also took the view that the cars’ engines were ‘absolutely horrible’.
Bev may not have been far off on frequent Kia Optima thefts since attorneys revealed Kia vehicles were stolen at ‘alarmingly high rates’ since 2021, according to SFGate.
Kia Optimas were also target of the Kia Boys TikTok challenge, which showed thieves using USB cables to steal the vehicles.
However, the 2024 Kia K5 received mostly positive reviews from drivers on Edmunds, and more than one driver wrote they love the engine power.
Chevy Cruze
Bev claimed Chevy Cruze vehicles were a ‘money pit’ and not worth purchasing
Once Bev finished slamming the Kia Optima, he claimed the Chevy Cruze was a ‘money pit’ sedan not worth purchasing.
The main problem identified by Bev was the timing chains – an engine part that helps a vehicle’s engine propel and produce power.
Bev alleged that timing chains can encounter problems at around 100,000 miles.
The Chevy Cruze ceased production in 2020, but could be improved when the company releases a redesigned version in 2025.
Mitsubishi Mirage G4
Bev claimed the Mitsubishi Mirage G4 was the least expensive vehicle on the market
The discontinued vehicles could potentially be cheaper than the Mitsubishi Mirage G4, which Bev claimed ‘G sucks.’
The TikToker said it was the least expensive vehicle on the market and alleged that it has low horsepower.
He also claimed the vehicles are ‘not reliable’ and have interiors that are ‘made of Lego.’
Bev’s claims were similar to expert reviewers from Kelley Blue Book, who criticized its ‘poor performance’ and ‘low-rent interior’ in its 3.1 out of five-star rating.
Alfa Romeo Giulia
The Alfa Romeo Giulia was the only luxury sedan Bev trashed in his TikTok video
Bev also slammed the Alfa Romeo Giulia, which he claimed was ‘terrible.’
According to the car expert, the turbocharged inline 4 in these sedans are horrible, and his friend Evan claimed it was the worst vehicle he ever owned.
The only luxury sedan Bev trashed in his video is described as a ‘timeless beauty at the service of your emotions’ on the Alfa Romeo Giulia website.
Car owners on Edmunds also have an opposite opinion of the engine, and experts claimed one of the pros of a 2025 Alfa Romeo Giulia is its ‘strong turbocharged engine.’
Chrysler 200
Bev traveled back to another mid-sized vehicle that’s no longer in production – the Chrysler 200.
Calling it ‘the 300’s younger stupid brother,’ the TikToker claimed it couldn’t get anything right.
Various drivers claimed this vehicle is more reliable that Bev said it was, but vehicles have had transmission, engine, and electrical issues in the past.
More than 900 TikTok users have discussed their alleged vehicle experiences over the past few days, and several commenters claimed Bev’s opinions were wrong.
Several commenters called their Kia Optimas reliable cars, and one person claimed they just keep their vehicle in a place where no one can steal it.
Others insisted Bev was incorrect about the Alfa Romeo Giulia.
‘Alfas are not unreliable their quality scores are climbing and the engines are super reliable with proper maintenance,’ a TikTok user wrote.
At least three commenters did agree with Bev on the Chevy Cruz, and one person claimed there were ‘so many problems’ with their vehicle.
