While she often looks flawless on the red carpet, radio and television personality Carrie Bickmore is not immune to fashion faux pas.
On Tuesday, the former Project host took to social media to reveal she had suffered a rather unfortunate tangle with some hair extensions.
The blonde bombshell explained she inadvertently washed her hair extensions before a major photoshoot.
Posting to her Instagram Stories, Carrie shared a photo that showed the long blonde locks after accidentally putting them in the washing machine.
Her once perfectly preened extensions were left curled up in a wet, tangled ball – a far cry from the primped locks that normally adorn her head.
‘When you accidentally put your extensions through the washing machine before a big shoot,’ Carrie captioned the unfortunate snap.
Carrie then posted an image of the clip-ins spread out over a towel rack in her bathroom.
‘And now it’s drying like spaghetti,’ she added.

It comes after Carrie looked half her age last week as she showed off her incredible figure in activewear.
The blonde bombshell put on a racy display in a hot pink set that flaunted her slim pins and glowing tan.
‘Sun’s out,’ she captioned the photo shared to her Instagram Stories. ‘In support of breast cancer awareness!’

The first half of the humorous ‘sun’s out gun’s out’ phrase usually refers to how men expose their biceps during warmer weather.
But Carrie flipped it on its head to flaunt her own fit figure in the midriff baring set by Aussie sportswear brand LSKD.
After recently being called ‘Barbie’s mum’ by a fan’s five-year-old earlier this month, Carrie kept with her think pink theme for Breast Cancer Awareness in October.
She modelled the Excel bra and bike shorts in ‘Ultra Pink’ from the Australian brand’s limited edition collection, which donates five per cent of profits to the cause.
The photo showed Carrie’s matching sports bra and teeny tiny bike shorts hugging her figure, with the eye-popping colour contrasting against and flaunting her bronzed, toned arms.
She wore her platinum blonde hair loose around her shoulders and a full face of day makeup that suggested the radio host was embracing the leisure side of athleisure rather than working up a sweat.
