Celebrity Masterchef has provided a dose of drama, laughter to its viewers along with some delectable dishes. Since the beginning of the show, there has been a constant tiff between contestants Gaurav Khanna and Nikki Tamboli. The duo has had arguments during team challenges and recently, Nikki also walked out of the show momentarily after a big fight with him. In the latest episode Nikki Tamboli has won immunity and was given a chance to choose her team member. She picked Gaurav, shocking everyone.
In the recent episode, contestants were challenged to produce exquisite dishes inspired by the flavours of Odisha. Nikki surprised everyone when she chose Gaurav Khanna as her first name. Explaining her reason, Nikki stated, “I am cooking good and Gaurav is also cooking good. Since it is a team challenge, I know Gaurav and I will make fantastic food.” Judge Farah Khan was left in disbelief and remarked, “Mujhe koi bachao, mujhe chakkar arahe hai.” Gaurav understood Nikki’s strategy and responded, “She is playing safe. But since it is a team challenge, I’ll make sure not to let anyone fail.”
Nikki Tamboli and Gaurav Khanna are often seen at the loggerheads on the show. In an earlier episode of the show, Nikki was heard calling Gaurav “insecur”. She said, “It is not about the immunity pin, mujhe aisa lagta hai, wakht aa gaya hai Gaurav ko accept kar lena chaiye that he is an insecure boy, not even a man.” Gaurav reacted hilariously and stated, “Not even a man… Isne check kiya.” Nikki added, “Mujhe lagta nahi, kisi mein guts hai that he is an insecure person, but he is.”
Gaurav Khanna entered the lights-camera-action profession with Siddhanth in 2005. Since then, he has established himself as one of the most popular television personalities. He most recently appeared in Rajan Shahi’s Anupamaa, alongside Rupali Ganguly and Sudhanshu Pandey.
Prior to Celebrity Masterchef, Nikki was a popular contestant on Bigg Boss Marathi 5. Suraj Chavan was crowned season winner, Nikki was one of the finalists.
Celebrity MasterChef is being judged by chefs Vikas Khanna, Ranveer Brar and filmmaker Farah Khan.
