‘Century At Roland Garros’: Novak Djokovic Thumps Cameron Norrie In Landmark Win | Sports News

The 38-year-old Djokovic stormed to a 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Brit Norrie to register his 100th win in the French Open.

Serbian icon Novak Djokovic moved into the quarterfinals of the French Open on Monday with a straight-sets win over Cameron Norrie to register his 100th win at Roland Garros.

The three-time French Open champion, Djokovic, stormed to a 6-2, 6-3, 6-2 victory over Brit Norrie on Court Philippe Chatrier. The 38-year-old Djokovic will take on Alexander Zverev in the last-eight clash in the clay court major on Wednesday in his subsequent engagement.

“I feel good. I know I can play better. But 12 sets played, 12 sets won, it’s been solid so far,” Djokovic said following this landmark triumph on the red courts in Paris.

“It’s great, but victory number 101 would be better,” the Serbian added.

“I’m very honoured. But I need to continue now,” he said eying a win over Zverev for a passage to the semifinals of the event.

It was Djokovic’s first ‘ton’ at a single grand slam events, with the 24-time Major winner also tallying 99 wins at Australian Open, 97 wins at Wimbledon and 90 wins in the US Open.

His Grand Slam cabinet includes 10 Australian Open titles in Melbourne, 7 Wimbledon crowns at SW19, 4 title at the Flushing Meadows in the US Open and 3 at the Roland Garros in France.

German Zverev moved into the quarterfinal of the 2025 edition as Tallon Griekspoor pulled out due to an abdominal injury while trailing 6-4, 3-0.

Earlier in the day, Frenchwoman Lois Boisson, ranked No. 361, autghored a major upset as she ousted Jessica Pegula to seal her progress to the last-eight at Roland Garros. The 22-year-old Boisson fought back from a set down against the Pegual to post a 3-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory on her Grand Slam debut at home.
