A glamorous CEO of a $100million fashion company has poked fun at how her husband apparently feels no pressure to dress up like she does.Â
Jane Lu, 38, shared a clip on TikTok showing how that even though she runs Showpo, her husband James Waldie, who is the chief financial officer, is usually wearing thongs and a T-shirt.Â
While Ms Lu is constantly seen in an array of miniskirts and dresses, her husband wears the same casual uniform paired with a backpack and a messy bun.Â
The businesswoman joked that he was a real ‘style icon’ with the majority of Aussies praising his ‘Steve Jobs mentality’ when it comes to fashion.
‘Love that money doesn’t change him,’ one person wrote.Â
‘This is so real. Relatable,’ another said.Â
Another joked that Mr Waldie’s simple and affordable fashion sense was the reason the couple now own a $100million company.
One joked that this proves ‘all men are the same’, while another pointed out that his lack of wardrobe would mean Ms Lu would have more space for her own clothes.

However, not everyone was impressed, with one slamming Mr Waldie’s outfits as ‘unacceptable’ and another arguing he should put ‘more effort’ in.
Ms Lu said no one had ever pointed out their different styles beyond it being just ‘in jest’ but said his lack of creativity when it came to fashion was decision fatigue.
‘He’s got enough on his plate, so why waste brainpower on outfits? And I’d rather save my nagging for more important things,’ she told news.com.au.
‘At the end of the day, I think fashion is there to make you feel confident, not the other way around, so if he’s happy in what he’s wearing, power to him.’
Ms Lu said she didn’t care what her husband wore but admitted that sometimes she was stunned by what he could get away with.
‘Waldie is constantly shocking me with how many fancy places he’s managed to get into wearing thongs. We’re talking Rockpool Bar and Grill-level fancy – no questions asked,’ she said.
‘He just strolls in like he owns the place. He thinks they must assume he’s one of the owners.’
