Chappell Roan got very candid about her sex life this week as she revealed she is ‘very in love’ and has been in a ‘serious’ relationship for the past six months.Â
The singer, 27, opened up on her love life on the Call Her Daddy podcast, and did not shy away from making a few X-rated comments about the differences between her experiences of having sex with men and women.Â
Chappell, whose real name is Kayleigh Rose Amstutz, made a No.1 debut on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart with her new single The Giver this week.Â
When asked about the inspiration for her first country track, Chappell said she felt like she’d been duped by the many ex-boyfriends who convinced her that pleasuring women in bed is difficult.Â
The Missouri native lamented how she once dated ‘a boy’ for four years and did ‘not once’ orgasm.Â
‘How did you date me for four years and you weren’t concerned that I didn’t orgasm, not once?’ Chappell asked rhetorically.Â

The singer, 27, opened up on her love life on the Call Her Daddy podcast , and did not shy away from making a few X-rated comments about the differences between her experiences of having sex with men and womenÂ
‘I’m so annoyed with the boys where I grew up, literally talking about having sex with these girls and how good they were.Â
‘And I think about how performative I was. When I started having sex with women, I didn’t even know what to do because I was so used to performing everything.’Â
Chappell recalled how she’d often communicate to her male partners that what they were doing in bed wasn’t working for her and she said that they would ignore it.Â
‘I think about hooking up with women compared to men and how much women give to their partner,’ she continued.Â
‘Obviously I was dating some not awesome people, but the common denominator was they could not get it through their head that what they were doing wasn’t right.
‘I think specifically in femme relationships, there is such an understanding that sex is about giving. When I was with men, it wasn’t mutual.’Â
Femme is a term used within the LGBTQ+ community to describe feminine presenting lesbians. Â
The Hot To Go! hitmaker added that using sex toys is very common in ‘gay sex’.

‘For some reason a lot of men that I’ve been with have been really uncomfortable with me using toys, but it’s a given with gay sex,’ she said.Â
When host Alex Cooper asked Chappell if she’d tried the very popular Womanizer vibrator brand, she replied excitedly ‘yes!’ with the host going on to say ‘it’s the best f*cking thing ever. I use it every time I have sex.’Â
The singer added that her favourite model is ‘The Rose’.Â
Chappell said she wrote The Giver about how sex should be a giving experience, regardless of sexual orientation.Â
In a rapid-fire this-or-that Q&A, the singer further shared that she prefers to ‘give first’ in sex, prefers late night over morning sex and said that both drunk and high sex ‘are awesome.’
Elsewhere in the podcast interview, Chappell revealed that she and her unnamed girlfriend had previously dated before she shot to stardom.Â
