The Chhath Puja festival, celebrated mostly in the states of Bihar, Jharkhand and Eastern Uttar Pradesh, will be celebrated on November 7, 2024. It is a way of showing thanks to Surya Dev for sustaining life on earth. According to Local 18 Uttar Pradesh, this time Chhath Puja will be organised on a massive scale in Noida.
A huge temporary Chhath Puja Ghat, the largest in Delhi NCR is being built in the Noida region, spanning a 60 feet wide, 160 feet long and about 4 feet deep area. Utmost care has been taken to ensure security and facilities in this event so that the devotees do not face any kind of inconvenience. 20 CCTV cameras, drone cameras and 150 volunteers will be deployed for crowd management. In addition to that, more than 20 temporary changing rooms have also been built for the devotees who have arrived for the puja celebrations.
Every year lakhs of devotees arrive at the temporary ghats built in Noida. Pravasi Mahasangh Committee has made many special arrangements to make the Chhath festival a memorable event this year. Every year around 40,000 people worship the Surya Dev at this ghat. On the other hand, more than one lakh devotees enjoy the Chhath festival. This year’s event will have a special attraction for the devotees. Flowers will be showered on the believers from a helicopter, which will give a unique experience to them. In addition to this, Bhojpuri cultural programs will also be organised. In these programmes, prominent singer Jyoti Mishra will also entertain the listeners with her mellifluous voice. This will further add to the joy of the Chhath Puja festival celebrations.
The Pravasi Mahasangh Committee has also appealed to the police administration to deploy the special security forces. Pravasi Mahasangh Noida Committee President Alok Vats and other members said that this year Chhath Mahotsav will be presented with a new makeover. The Pravasi Mahasangh Noida Committee Treasurer Chhaya Rai and the secretary Mamta Pandey also confirmed this. All the members of the organising committee are assured that this time Chhath Mahotsav will be celebrated on a grander scale than earlier and devotees will be able to enjoy it more.
