As per RBI’s holiday list 2025, there are a total of 8 holidays except Saturdays (Second & Fourth)/Sundays in February 2025. Banks will be closed on the following days depending on regions and states.

Bank Holiday Today: On the occasion of the birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, banks across Maharashtra are closed today, i.e. February 19, 2025. The State is observing the birth anniversary of the revered Maratha warrior king.
Banks, however, in other States are operational as usual. Moreover, digital banking functionality is still available for all customers, so there won’t be any issue while making receiving or sending payments online.
Government offices in Mumbai are also closed on February 19.
Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, born on February 19, 1630, in the hill-fort of Shivneri, was a prominent Maratha warrior and the founder of the Maratha Empire in western India. His life and legacy have left an indelible mark on Indian history.

Settlement Holiday In Stock Markets
In honor of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti, the stock market—including the BSE and NSE—will observe a settlement holiday on February 19. On Wednesday, clearing and settlement for the pay-in and pay-out of stocks and funds will remain closed, but trading will go on as usual.
Colleges and schools run by the government will continue to be closed. Parents and students are encouraged to confirm directly with the private educational institutions since they have the authority to remain open or close.
