Afghanistan is preparing to build new dams to restrict the flow of its river waters into Pakistan, according to a claim made by a Baloch activist on social media. The reported move follows India’s decision to keep the Indus Water Treaty in ‘abeyance’ in retaliation for the April 22 terror attack in Kashmir’s Pahalgam.New Delhi has said that it will start building dams on rivers flowing towards Pakistan, essentially cutting water flowing downstream to IslamabadAccording to a social media post by Baloch activist Mir Yab Baloch, a senior Taliban army official, General Mubin, visited the Kunar region in eastern Afghanistan.
