‘I wanted to celebrate the 25th anniversary of my debut album in a way that brings together the past and present,’ she told Rolling Stone. ‘I’ve always enjoyed reimagining my songs with different styles and audiences, as well as playing with sounds and arrangements that showcase how all music can be timeless.’

In addition to getting some help from MGK, the mother-of-two also teamed up with Sabrina Carpenter on one of the tracks.

She noted that recording this project was ‘both magical and nostalgic’ and had her look back on some of her ‘sweetest career memories.’

Now Christina has signed 5020 Records, a Latin-infused label based out of Miami, according to Variety.

Neither the singer, nor her former or new record label have spoken publicly about the shift, though a rep for 5020 confirmed Christina signed with the label.

Fans had speculated about the record label shift over the past few months, when the 5020 logo appeared on her website.

Her name has been quietly removed from the RCA website’s Artists page, officially bringing an end to their 26-year collaboration.

Christina was discovered by RCA executive Ron Fair, after he heard her demo tape cover of Whitney Houston’s Run It to You in 1997.

The $1 million that the label invested in Christina paid off when her first single Genie In a Bottle was released in May 1999.

The song spent five straight weeks atop the Billboard Hot 100 singles charts and became the second-highest-selling single of 1999, behind just Cher’s Believe.

Her self-titled album debuted atop the Billboard 200 album charts, and ended up being the 9th highest-selling album that year.

The album sold more than 10 million copies in its first year and was certified eight-time platinum, while also winning the Grammy for Best New Artist.
