CID, one of the most popular Television shows, is all set to make a grand comeback on the small screens soon, that too with the original cast. The new season will premiere on December 21 on Sony TV. Now, to raise the fans’ excitement, the makers have dropped a new teaser of the show featuring actor Dayanand Shetty, known for his role as Daya in the show.
The clip begins with Daya making a heroic entry after a bomb blast. He bends the gun and says, “Jabse tum nishana lagana seekh rahe the na, tabse yeh Daya banduke tod raha hai (Daya has been breaking guns since you learned to aim).” The clip also depicted the actor’s iconic door-breaking scene.
Taking to Instagram, the teaser caption reads, “Naye season me Daya sirf darwaze nahi todega bandooke bhi tutengi! #CID waapis aa raha hai 21st December se, Sat-Sun raat 10 baje, sirf #SonyEntertainmentTelevision par.”
Fans were quick to share their reactions to the new teaser. An Instagram user wrote, “Waiting for it so badly.” Another fan wrote, “Daya sir k samne Darwaje kuch nhi hai toh ye bandooke kya tikegi… He-Man of Cid for a reason.” Several users asked the makers to release actor Aditya Srivastava, aka Abhijit’s promo. A person commented, “Abhijeet ka promo kab ayega? (When will you release Abhijeet’s promo?).” Another one wrote, “Abhijeet sir ke bhi promo out krdo please (Please release Abhijeet’s promo as well).”

Apart from Daya, the show will also feature actor Aditya Srivastava as Sr. Inspector Abhijeet and actor Shivaji Satam returning as ACP Pradyuman.
The previous season also featured late actor Dinesh Phadnis as Inspector Fredricks, Narendra Gupta as Dr. Salunkhe, Hrishikesh Pandey as Sr. Inspector Sachin, Ansha Sayed as Inspector Purvi, Vivek Mashru as Sub-Inspector Vivek and Shraddha Musale as Dr. Tarika, among others.
Meanwhile, talking about Dayanand Shetty, the actor was recently seen in the action thriller Singham Again.
