John Cena opened the latest episode of WWE RAW, which aired on Monday, March 24. The Cenation Leader appeared in Glasgow amid loud boos, with fans calling him out for a recent viral video where Heel Cena was seen insulting a child. The veteran superstar, who has been on his farewell tour, seemed unfazed about the crowd reaction.
Cena pledged to secure his 17th world championship before retiring from professional wrestling as well. Following his revelation, Cody Rhodes came out and tried to tease Cena, flaunting his world title.
Later on the show, CM Punk spoke about the upcoming WrestleMania clash between Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins, referring to his rivalry with both superstars. He further reminded fans that neither Reigns nor Rollins had managed to beat him without the help of each other.
Adam Pearce shared details about last week’s contract signing and announced that Rhea Ripley would not compete in the Women’s World Championship match at WrestleMania 41. Iyo Sky, however, was keen to face both Ripley and Bianca Belair.
As we entered the main event, the Uso brothers– Jey and Jimmy– reunited to take on A-Town Down Under’s Grayson Waller and Austin Theory. The Usos subsequently used an alley-oop Spear and a 1D on their opponents to win the tag team match.
Women’s Intercontinental champion Lyra Valkyria, on the other hand, defended her title against Raquel Rodriguez. The champ initially took some brutal assault but bounced back well and rolled up Rodriguez to seal the deal. After the match, Gunther launched a surprise attack on Jimmy and the duo traded some strikes at the ringside.
However, the men’s Intercontinental title match ended abruptly with Bron Breakker beating Penta via disqualification. El Grande Americano faced Dragon Lee in a singles fight and the situation turned quite chaotic. Americano had the last laugh by catching Lee for an ankle lock and emphatically celebrated his victory with the Scottish crowd.
