Rival college football fans have poked fun at Georgia supporters after Notre Dame’s second-half-opening kickoff return touchdown when cameras panned to their disappointed faces covered in paint with their spiky shoulder pads intact.
Comparisons to the legendary professional-wrestling tag team Legion of Doom and Las Vegas Raiders fans in different colors were made for those in the Caesars Superdome in their exuberant Bulldogs’ costumes.
Painted faces, shoulder pads, sunglasses, masks, and more were part of the attire for the Georgia fans who wanted to wear more than a red-and-black shirt in New Orleans.
Those fans looking sad were mocked ruthlessly online, as some could not fathom why some would dress in public that way, much less with a chance to be shown on national television.
With Georgia’s dominance over the last few seasons, any chance to kick the Bulldogs while they are down is a chance worth taking for college football fans.
