Commercial LPG Price Cut By Rs 14.50; A 19-Kg Cylinder Now Costs Rs 1,747.50 In Delhi; Jet Fuel Rates Fall 4%

The price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Delhi has now fallen from Rs 1,762 to Rs 1,747.50, which is a drop of Rs 14.5 per cylinder.

In Mumbai, the cylinder price has been reduced to Rs 1,699 from Rs 1,714.50.

LPG Gas Cylinder Price May 2025: Oil marketing companies (OMCs) on Thursday reduced the prices of commercial LPG cylinders across cities in India. The price of a 19-kg commercial cylinder in Delhi has now fallen from Rs 1,762 to Rs 1,747.50, which is a drop of Rs 14.5 per cylinder.

According to a notification from OMCs, the price of 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinders remains unchanged.

City-Wise Commercial LPG Cylinder Price from May 1, 2025:

Delhi: Rs 1,747.50

Mumbai: Rs 1,699

Kolkata: Rs 1,857.5

Chennai: Rs 1,910

In Delhi, the retail sale price of a commercial LPG cylinder, weighing 19 kg, is Rs 1,747.50, with effect Thursday, May 1, 2025.

In Mumbai, the cylinder price has been reduced to Rs 1,699 from Rs 1,714.50. The rate has gone down to Rs 1,857.5 from Rs 1,872 in Kolkata; and in Chennai, the cylinder now costs Rs 1,910 instead of Rs 1,924.50.

In the previous month of April, the oil market companies had reduced the rate of a 19-kg commercial LPG gas cylinder by Rs 41.

Domestic LPG Prices Remain Unchanged

The prices of domestic LPG prices remain the same as before. In Delhi, a 14.2-kg domestic LPG cylinder’s price stands at Rs 853. It is Rs 852.50 in Mumbai, Rs 879 in Kolkata, and Rs 868.50 in Chennai.

Last month, the government hiked the domestic cooking gas price by Rs 50 per cylinder.

ATF Prices Reduced By 4.4%

The price of jet fuel, or ATF, was reduced by 4.4 per cent on Thursday — marking the second major cut within a month.

Additionally, the price of commercial LPG used in hotels and restaurants was lowered by Rs 14.50 per cylinder, in line with international benchmarks. The aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price was reduced by Rs 3,954.38 per kilolitre, or 4.4 per cent, to Rs 85,486.80 per kl in the national capital — home to one of the busiest airports in the country, according to state-owned fuel retailers.

The price cut follows a steep 6.15 per cent (Rs 5,870.54 per kl) reduction effected on April 1. These two reductions have effectively offset the price increases that occurred earlier this year.

The ATF price in Mumbai was cut to Rs 79,855.59 per kl from Rs 83,575.42, while those in Chennai and Kolkata were reduced to Rs 88,494.52 and Rs 88,237.05 per kl, respectively.
