Cristiano Ronaldo may soon be on the move in the upcoming January transfer window but is not leaving Saudi Arabia. According to reports, the Portuguese superstar will be exchanging Al Nassr for Al Hilal.

Ronaldo left behind a decorated legacy at Manchester United and took his talents to the Saudi Pro League in December of 2022, sparking the beginning of what would become a mass exodus of high-level players from all across Europe.

Ronaldo has since scored 73 goals in 83 matches for Al Nassr.

As per Sport in Portugal, Al Nassr’s Ronaldo is being eyed as the perfect replacement for Neymar at Al Hilal after the Brazilian’s poor outing in Saudi Arabia.

Despite his impressive performances, Ronaldo is yet to win any titles with Al-Nassr. Neymar was out for a year after picking up an ACL injury and on his return, picked up a hamstring issue.

Neymar does have a contract with Al Hilal until 2025, but so far his performances have not lit up the Saudi Pro League, with just one goal and three assists. The  Brazilian footballer has played just seven games for the 19-time Saudi champion since signing in August 2023 for a reported fee of USD 90 million.

Neymar’s injuries, on the other hand, have made things awkward for the former Barcelona star.

“I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years, but probably I will retire here at Al Nassr. I’m happy at this club, I feel good in this country too. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue,” Ronaldo had told a Portuguese TV channel.
