Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians IPL 2025 Match Today: Five-time champions Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians will face each other in their first match of IPL 2025 on Sunday (March 23) at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The first clasico of the 2025 season is scheduled to start at 7:30 PM IST. After securing three wins over MI in the last three IPL matches played between the two teams, CSK would like to extend the winning run in front of home fans as well, whereas MI would like to end the forgettable record of losing the first match of the season.
For the first match of the new season, MI will miss the services of captain Hardik Pandya and star fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. While Bumrah is dealing with fitness-related issues, Pandya is not available due to one match suspension which is carrying over from the 2025 season.
Chennai Super Kings, on the other hand, have no such concern, and they will start the first match of the new season as favourites against their traditional rivals.
