Painting is a unique and challenging art form. While anyone can wield a brush and select colours, creating something extraordinary requires vision. This inherent complexity is why renowned paintings captivate audiences and command extraordinary prices, often reaching lakhs or even crores.

A painting in Britain has garnered significant attention due to a string of owners reporting inability to sleep peacefully after buying the artwork. Owners claim to experience heightened anxiety and fear, leading them to quickly resell the painting.

According to a report from The Daily Star, a charity shop in Hastings, East Sussex, has a painting of a girl that is said to be cursed. The painting is accompanied by a note stating that it has been sold twice and returned both times.

Joi Elliot Brown initially purchased the painting from the charity shop for £25. However, she soon began experiencing a feeling of being followed by a black shadow and decided to sell it on eBay.

Following this, James Kislingbury of London purchased the painting for £1,800 and placed it at the reception of the London Bridge Experience, a tourist attraction where he works.

Since acquiring the painting in September 2023, James has reported strange and supernatural occurrences. He has claimed to have felt an uncanny presence and has heard strange noises. Staff members have also reported seeing shadows resembling children playing.

The painting’s origins are unknown, but it is believed to have been donated to the charity shop by an elderly person. Before James, the painting is reported to have had three previous owners.
