Danny Dyer has revealed his surprising new career venture outside of his acting career.

The actor, 57, has set his sights on opening his own caravan park as he confessed he has been inspired by Jeremy Clarkson’s farm.

Appearing on this Friday’s upcoming episode of The Jonathan Ross Show, Danny told the host: ‘I’m going to invest some dough into a caravan site.

‘I went to caravans on my holiday as a kid – Canvey Island. Caravans are a thing for me, it’s very much about nostalgia.

‘I seen Jeremy Clarkson is cracking on with his farm so I’m going to try and run a caravan site and bring back the British holidays.’

And viewers will get to come along on the journey with Danny as him and his daughter Dani have filmed the endeavour as they take on the running of their own caravan park in Kent.

The new Sky TV series, called The Dyer’s Caravan Park will see the fan favourite pair take on the project on the Isle Of Sheppey.

In a trailer for the new show, Danny joked: ‘So Clarkson’s got his farm. Richard Hammond has his workshop, f*****g about in there.

‘If Jamie Oliver can save school dinners then I think I want to bring back the caravan holiday. Why the f**k can’t I save the British holiday?’

As Dani asks how he is going to do it, he explained: ‘Well I can chuck my face on it, chuck a few quid at it and try and make it cool again?

‘It could be a complete f*****g failure and I could be talking complete f****g b****s.’

He concluded: ‘Long live the f*****g caravan’.

Elsewhere on the episode Danny opened up about having grandchildren as he admitted his daughter Dani is ‘f***ed’ and ‘exhausted’.

He told host Jonathan: ‘I’ve got three. We call them ‘the terribles’ because they terrorise you.

‘They’re a gift. My Dani is f***ed. She’s exhausted – three kids under four. They terrorise me.

‘I say ‘Dan, that’s enough now’. They’re 100 miles an hour. They just want to destroy things in front of them.’

Dani, 28, gave birth to son Santiago, with her former partner Sammy Kimmence in 2021.

Then two years later, she became a mother for the second time as she welcomed twin daughters Summer and Star with fiancé Jarrod Bowen in 2023.

Elsewhere in the show, the actor talked about the day he will have to give his daughter away to fiancé Jarrod on their big day.

He said: ‘It’s a mad thing the idea of giving your daughter away – I don’t like that. But if you’re going to give your daughter away, give your daughter to the West Ham captain! It’s amazing.’

Gushing on his future son-in-law, he continued: ‘He’s a very humble, brilliant, beautiful man who worships the ground she walks on.

‘He did call me and ask for the hand in marriage, I was on the verge of tears. I was trying to be the hard man of course.’
