Davina McCall has defiantly hit back at trolls who’ve criticised her bikini snaps.

The presenter, 56, is well known for her love of fitness and often showcases her incredible physique on social media, with the star stunning in a skimpy red bikini last month.

However, in a new interview, Davina told how the negative comments she receives ‘motivate’ her to continue what she’s doing.

Speaking to The Sun, the My Mum, Your Dad host noted that the more stick she gets, the more she’s inclined to say a big ‘F* you’ to the naysayers and continue flaunting her jaw-dropping figure.

Addressing the how she deals with the backlash she receives, she told the publication: ‘It’s an easy one. The more stick I get, people telling me to put it away, it’s great because I’m like, “F* you”.

She continued: ‘The more people go, “You shouldn’t be doing that”, the more I’m going to do it. It’s immediately sort of motivational.

‘And that’s why I post all my workout videos. So if I do a workout in the morning and somebody underneath replies, “Oh, thank you, you’ve just reminded me I’m going to go today”, that’s brilliant.’

In August, Davina wowed as she showcased her age-defying figure in a red ruffled two-piece teamed with cowboy boots, in a snap that has almost 80,000 likes.

She paired the bandeau bikini with an over-the-shoulder red bag and a huge pair of sunglasses, while her brunette locks fell in loose waves.

A host of Davina’s celebrity pals were quick to gush over the star’s snap, with former Pussycat Doll Ashley Roberts saying she was picking her ‘jaw up off the floor’.

‘I’m on holiday,’ Davina captioned the post. ‘I had to. Tea anyone ??’

Last week, Davina explained why she refuses to act or dress her age and revealed that the new series of My Mum, Your Dad made her cry.

Series two of ITV’s My Mum, Your Dad will air sometime in September and it follows middle-aged single parents looking to find love again – with their children watching their every move.

Ahead of its return, Davina spoke about what she has in common with the contestants and recalls a particularly touching moment from the new series.

Davina said: ‘Our age group, we are the first of a new generation of midlifers. We are the people that were at the raves, taking drugs, we’re pioneers. We were naughty, we were fun, we were outrageous – and then we had kids.

‘We settled down, we were good people for 18 years and now we’re thinking: ‘Right, let’s go again.” It’s like having a second chance at life, and we’re making the kids watch that second chance.’

Davina hit back at body shamers on Instagram after they accused her of being ‘too skinny’ in May.

She shared a video response to the comments which she said had left her ‘furious’.

She blasted the ‘cruel’ trolls who she said she’s expected as celeb just to ‘take’ the jibes before declaring she ‘felt and looked absolutely f***ing great’.

Telling fans: ‘I just thought I’d quickly do a post about the kind of, I guess it is like abuse, really, that I’m getting about my weight. It’s really frustrating’.

‘I feel like people post these things and then they have no consequences because they can post whatever they like and be cruel and I just have to kind of take it.

‘I’m actually just left sitting feeling furious so I thought I’d offload here.’

She went on: ‘I’m a 5ft 6in woman who weighs 61 kilos. I don’t diet. I exercise. I eat relatively healthily and I enjoy sharing that journey with people’.

‘I’m 57 this year and I’m happy with the way that I look, and I feel absolutely f***ing great. And so I just thought I’d post that there.

“I can’t really do much about my neck and my face unless I fill it with filler. I don’t know what to do about my neck is my neck.

‘And maybe the light was bad or something and everybody’s but all you have to do is look at the rest of my posts on my page and see that I’m not unhealthy.’

She finished off by saying: ‘But this is  this was, like, horrible. So I’m parking that there and I’m just saying maybe think before you post something.

‘Wouldn’t it be nicer to say something positive? And if you can’t say something positive, don’t bother.’
