With Saturday and Sunday being consecutive holidays, ATMs may get busier than usual, so it is a good idea to withdraw cash in advance.
Banks across the country will be closed on December 25 for Christmas, and on fourth Saturday, and Sunday (December 28 and 29). Some states have also declared local holidays. Here is a complete list of the bank holidays for this week:

While banks will be closed, you can still manage several tasks through online banking. Activities such as money transfers, bill payments, mobile recharges, and investments can be easily completed using banking apps. However, platforms like Google Pay and PhonePe may experience occasional server issues during holidays, so it is a good idea to keep some cash handy for emergencies.
If you have important tasks like cheque deposits, KYC updates, or other banking formalities, plan them in advance, keeping the holiday schedule in mind.
