Deloitte opened an office in Lucknow on March 23, greatly boosting the economy of Uttar Pradesh, one of India’s biggest states. For the first time, one of the “Big Four” professional services companies has opened an office in the ‘City of Nawabs’. The international behemoth’s dedication to assisting Uttar Pradesh’s goal of becoming a $1 trillion economy by 2030 is further demonstrated by the fact that Deloitte opened an office in Noida barely a year prior to the opening of its Lucknow location. Deloitte India currently operates 19 offices in 14 locations throughout the country as a result.
“Uttar Pradesh has established itself as a global testing hub, a fast-growing hub for electronics manufacturing, and is on its way to becoming a semiconductor hub,” Deloitte South Asia CEO Romal Shetty said while launching its new office in Lucknow as quoted by ET Now. “The state offers a wide range of opportunities for companies and professionals alike,” Shetty added.
During the launch, Romal Shetty pledged that the company is dedicated to empowering communities and advancing national development. Since they will be crucial to the upcoming wave of growth and innovation, Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities are an important component of Deloitte’s strategy.
