Desperate appeal to find missing woman, 33, last seen in Newcastle suburb as police grow concerned for her welfare

The family of a missing 33-year-old woman are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare after she vanished from a city over the weekend.

Rachael Bowman has been missing from the Hillsleigh Road area of Cowgate in Newcastle-upon-Tyne since 3.30pm yesterday.

Northumbria Police described her as a white 5ft 7in woman with long black hair, adding that she has a lip hoop piercing and may be wearing a leg brace.

Officers believe Miss Bowman may have travelled to the North Tyneside or South Shields areas.

They have urged her, or anyone who knows where she might be, to get in touch with the force.

Her sister Sarah Bowman has posted a series of messages on Facebook urging her to get in touch, saying in one: ‘Please Rach, just let us know you OK please, baby girl – we need you home.’
