The sheer magnificence of the jewellery on display, particularly the jaw-dropping navratan necklace worn by Isha Ambani, left a lasting impression. Her necklace, designed by Viren Bhagat, reportedly took three years to assemble the precious gems. And now, that very piece is back in the spotlight, but this time, for a completely different reason.

The Reddit post, titled Neetu Kapoor wearing Isha Ambani’s navratan necklace? immediately sparked curiosity, as the user speculated whether Neetu “borrowed” it from the Ambani collection or had a replica made.
“Spotted Neetu Kapoor wearing the exact same navratan necklace that Isha Ambani wore to the Ambani wedding in July. I wonder if Neetu borrowed it from them or if she bought a replica because it definitely is worth a lot!” the user wrote.

To give a refresher on Isha’s original look, at her brother’s wedding, she stunned in a custom Manish Malhotra lehenga in a soft white tone, lavishly detailed with silver zardosi work and brocade floral motifs. But her jewellery was the real show-stealer. The prized necklace was reportedly a collection of nine rare gemstones: ruby, emerald, blue and yellow sapphires, diamond, pearl, coral, jade, and hessonite.
Jewellery expert and social media influencer Julia Chafe had earlier shared some insights on this unique necklace. She revealed that it took years to gather such rare stones and noted that this was the first time Isha wore blue sapphires, which made up approximately 35 to 40 carats. Julia also mentioned that these pieces were part of Nita Ambani’s personal collection.
Reddit users had mixed reactions to Neetu’s necklace. One commenter humorously wrote, “This may cost more than my forefathers (or their forefathers) ever made but it looks like some kind you get at a local mela with coloured plastic (made to look like) stones!!”
Another user suggested it was likely a replica, pointing out, “The IA (Isha Ambani) one has stones, and loosely based off of this photo, the top and bottom layers may have pearls.”
While it’s difficult to confirm whether Neetu Kapoor’s necklace is a high-quality replica or an inspired piece from Isha Ambani’s collection, it surely proves that the leading ladies know how to become the centre of attention in the fashion town with their choices.
