Television actress Diksha Dhami is back on the screens with Shemaroo Umang’s latest show, Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain. She is sharing the screen with actress Ishita Ganguly, who has previously worked on shows like Shashtri Sisters, Chhathi Maiyya Ki Bitiya and Nath. Recently, Diksha sat for an interview, where she shared her experience of working with a seasoned actress like Ishita.
“She has done so much work in the industry, I am learning a lot,” Diksha said, as quoted by ETimes. She further talked about the positive dynamics between them, highlighting how Ishita’s constant guidance has helped her on-screen performance. “We have not had many scenes together up until now, but you know she has done a lot of work in the industry, and there’s a lot to learn from her. She’s a lovely person, and I’m glad to be working with her on the show,” Diksha shared.
In the highly anticipated television show Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain, Diksha Dhami portrays Chaina, the lively and kind-hearted village girl who becomes the youngest daughter-in-law. In contrast, Ishita Ganguly plays a cunning, complex and manipulative Chamkeeli, the eldest daughter-in-law who challenges Chaina’s position.
Previously, Diksha spoke about portraying the lively Chaina in Shemaroo Umang’s latest show, highlighting that her character is full of surprises. In a conversation with the same media outlet, the actress said, “Fans are going to love Chaina. She’s street-smart, witty and always full of surprises. It’s about a girl who’s full of life and does everything that her heart suggests her to do without overthinking about the situation. I’m personally very different from her, but I’m sure fans will love her character in the show.”
Speaking of Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain, the show is set against the backdrop of an opulent haveli in Rajasthan, which will explore the story of two strong characters, Chaina and Chamkeeli. The former’s life takes a dramatic turn when she enters the lavish haveli.
The series promises to be a gripping tale of tradition, power dynamics, rivalry and family drama. The Shemaroo Umang serial also features Sheel Verma, Ektaa BP Singh and Gaurav Savita in other pivotal roles. Within days of its premiere, the show has already captivated fans with its gripping storyline and power-packed performances by the star cast.
Badi Haveli Ki Chhoti Thakurain premiered on January 27 and airs from Monday to Saturday at 9 PM on Shemaroo Umang.
