Dillon Danis insists that British YouTube star-turned-boxer KSI is scared to fight him after their March 29 bout got postponed.
On Friday, Misfits Boxing announced that the boxing match, set to take place in Manchester, will be moved due to KSI catching an unnamed illness.
Speaking to DailyMail.com, Danis claimed KSI is making excuses to delay the contest.
‘He’s scared, it’s an excuse,’ Danis said. ‘I’ve been battling worse, have my ticket to Manchester, was ready, and he bottled it. I feel bad for the fans.’
When asked about a potential new date, Danis said ‘I actually don’t know.’ However, Misfits claimed a further update will be issued next week in their statement.
In a video, posted on his X page, KSI explained the delay to his followers, saying ‘I’ve tried my hardest.’
‘But my body has literally just given up. I’m currently in bed, taking antibiotics, trying to recover but I’m struggling,’ he added. ‘I’m coughing up greenish-yellow s*** all the time, my sinuses are hurting to the point where I need ibuprofen everyday.’
KSI went on to detail how he tried sparring through the sickness but feels weak during the workouts.
‘My stamina’s fallen off a cliff, I can’t even taste right now or smell,’ he shared. ‘Basically, I’m f***ed. I’ve been ill for almost three weeks and it’s just not got better.’
