Former CNN reporter Jim Acosta has been slammed for a vile joke about President Donald Trump’s dead ex-wife, Ivana.
Acosta made cruel comments about Ivana Trump’s grave while discussing the Trump administration’s immigration policies on The Contrarian podcast on Monday.
The correspondent’s remarks prompted a response from the White House, with press secretary Karoline Leavitt telling Fox Digital he is a ‘disgraceful human being.’
‘Where are the ICE raids at the Trump properties?’ Acosta began his tangent on the No Kings Day episode of the show.
‘Could somebody call ICE on the Trump golf course in Virginia? You’re telling me there’s nobody in there that is undocumented or has some kind of squirreliness going on with their paperwork?’
The left-leaning 54-year-old went on to Trump’s personal life, asking: ‘How many immigrants has he married?’
‘He’s got one buried at his golf course in New Jersey! Isn’t she buried by the first hole or the second tee or something like that?’ he said as liberal reporter April Ryan and show host Jennifer Rubin cackled along.
‘Immigrants, always doing the jobs that Americans don’t want to do!’

Acosta made the remarks that sparked internet fury while discussing the Trump administration’s immigration policies on The Contrarian podcast on Monday
Trump’s first wife, Ivana, who passed away in 2022 from blunt impact injuries after falling down the stairs, is buried at his golf course in Bedminster, New Jersey.
The mother of Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric was born in Czechoslovak Socialist Republic – now the Czech Republic – and moved to Canada in the early 1970s.
After divorcing her first husband, Australian ski instructor Alfred Winklmayr, she moved to the US.
The model met Trump in New York City in 1976 and they married the following year.
Two of Trump’s three wives have been immigrants – Ivana and Melania, who is from Slovenia and came to America in 1996.
Aside from the White House’s take on Acosta’s dig, Trump supporters have taken to social media to tear into the correspondent.
‘Jim Acosta is a whole new level of Messed Up,’ one man reacted on X.
‘You are a truly SICK person. Go crawl under the rock you crawled out from!!’ another wrote about the former CNN Chief White House correspondent.

Acosta left CNN in January after working for the network for 18 years.
He has notably criticized and clashed with Trump, especially during his first term.
In a 2018 interview with NBC, the president called Acosta ‘an unprofessional guy’ following a heated exchange over a migrant caravan that was traveling from Central America through the US.
‘I don’t think he’s a smart person, but he’s got a loud voice.’
After leaving the cable network, he went on to now host The Jim Acosta Show on Substack and YouTube.
Acosta walked away from CNN days after it reported one of its worst ratings months in history, weeks after a round of layoffs that affected almost 200.
He was spared, though a lineup revamp saw him stripped of his usual 10am hour – a move that his colleagues applauded.
Few hid their excitement when he was booted from a plum morning slot.

‘Jim is one of the least-liked and most eye-rolled of all the talent at CNN. And this has been a longstanding status,’ one network insider told DailyMail.com.
‘He’s insufferable, an egomaniac. If he can make himself part of the story, he will.’
Another added: ‘His jealousy is even visibly thicker than his makeup and hardened hair gel.’
After being moved to a different time slot, the anchor made clear on set that he was going his own way.
Within hours of quitting, he was advertising his Substack offering paid subscriptions.
Acosta’s Substack has amassed 282,000 subscribers, more than 10,000 of whom have paid access, which is on pace to earn him well over $1 million.
