Donald Trump flipped the script on the division of labor with his running mate, opting for the attack dog role while running mate J.D. Vance found occasional agreement with rival Tim Walz during the vice presidential debate.
The CBS moderators were Trump’s first target just as events got underway Tuesday evening.
‘Both young ladies have been extremely biased Anchors!’ Trump wrote about Margaret Brennan and Norah O’Donnell, who are both longtime members of the media. Brennan is 44, and O’Donnell is 50. Trump is 78.
Rather than laying low, Trump spoke earlier for more than an hour at two separate events in Wisconsin, then used his own Truth Social network to repeatedly insult Walz.
Trump cheered J.D. Vance’s defense of his foreign policy leadership. ‘A great defense of me and the Administration of fake charges made by an obviously not very bright Governor,’ wrote Trump throwing out his first insult of the night.
Then he called out Walz for looking down and scribbling, following a shaky first answer. ‘Walz is taking so many notes – Never seen a Candidate take more! He needs the notes to keep his brain intact,’ said Trump.

Former President Donald Trump lobbed insults at Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz during his debate with Sen. J.D. Vance
He came back to the topic. The debate rules allow each debater to have a pen and paper and water, but no advanced notes.
‘More notes! Why can’t Walz just remember what he has to say? Low IQ!’ Trump wrote.
Trump cheered on his running mate as the debate wore on.
‘JD is steady and strong, Tampon Tim is sweating bullets, he is nervous and “weird”, Trump said, using an insult he uses on the stump.

Trump began by attacking the moderators, then tore into Walz
It references a bill Walz signed into law as governor of Minnesota to require public schools to provide menstrual products to students in grades 4-12.
Trump used the insult in another posting. ‘JD is doing GREAT – A different level of Intelligence from Tampon Tim!’ Trump wrote in another.
Trump appeared unpersuaded when Walz answered that he was a ‘knucklehead’ at times when quizzed about saying he was in Hong Kong at the time of the Tiananmen Square massacre. He said he was there at a different time.
‘Why isn’t Walz answering the question about his LIES? He does “talk a lot,” but it’s all TOTAL BS!’ Trump weighed in.
