EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Spooky Star Wars double act for the Delevignes

The force is clearly with Poppy Delevingne and her father Charles this Halloween.

Model and actress Poppy, 38, and the Chelsea property developer, 75, dressed up as Star Wars siblings Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker to attend a party hosted by socialite Alice Naylor-Leyland at Nantclwyd Hall in Denbighshire, Wales.

In keeping with the spooky season, Charles’s Jedi costume had been splattered with fake blood.

Meanwhile Poppy styled her hair to form ‘Star Puffs’, the official term for the signature buns worn by Princess Leia (played by Carrie Fisher) in the film franchise.

It’s a very different look to that of Poppy’s younger sister Cara Delevingne, who once turned up to a Star Wars screening in London disguised as a double lightsaber-wielding version of the character Jabba the Hutt – a giant slug-like creature.

Mayfair club and the mystery of the missing Halloween decor

It was where Inspector Clouseau star Peter Sellers celebrated his third wedding and The Who’s Keith Moon brought down a chandelier – and once arrived strapped naked to the bonnet of a Rolls-Royce.

But will Tramp, the nightclub also favoured by Prince Andrew and now re-opened after a lavish refurbishment, be haunted not by Sellers, who died aged 54, or Moon, who overdosed at 32, but by party planner Rhea Elliott?

Elliott, who’s vibrantly alive, is fuming about the disappearance of severed limbs and other bits and pieces with which she enriches Halloween events.

The whole hoard, she says, was ‘thrown in a cupboard’ at Tramp before it was bought by entrepreneur Luca Maggiora.

‘I was forced to take out a County Court claim,’ adds Elliott, who’s seeking £5,600 in compensation. But Tramp may come up with a treat.

‘If supporting evidence is provided, [new management] will gladly settle her claim,’ I’m told.

The Sandringham Smell

Richard E Grant has enjoyed a close bond with King Charles for more than 25 years – but that hasn’t stopped the actor from discussing the pungent smells he encountered at the monarch’s Norfolk retreat.

‘I’ve stayed with them [the Royal Family] in Sandringham,’ says Grant, 67. ‘The cheeses came into the dining room, and I left.’

The Withnail And I star adds: ‘It’s very easy just to excuse yourself and go to the loo for 20 minutes.’

Keanu’s Struggle

The road to success hasn’t always been easy for Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves, 60, who is in London promoting his new novel, The Book Of Elsewhere.

The Matrix star tells me: ‘I’ve had lots of failures, it’s all around me – you might have seen a couple of those movies, or maybe that record you never heard or the clothing company that failed or the restaurant that didn’t quite happen.’

He adds: ‘I had a lot of rejection, but perseverance came by the way.’

Jumbo’s drama school scars

Cush Jumbo still bears the emotional scars of her rigorous training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, whose alumni include Laurence Olivier and Dame Judi Dench.

‘I went to Central at 17. I sometimes wish I hadn’t,’ says The Good Wife star.

‘I feel there’s some stuff in terms of where you come from, who you are and your natural abilities, that were slightly taken from me, and it took me a long time to get them back.’

‘I was filled with the technical and was very good at it, but my confidence… reduced for a long time.’
