Elizabeth Hurley has long been synonymous with timeless elegance and unapologetic glamour. Her latest photoshoot, captured by the iconic Ellen von Unwerth, is no exception. For this special editorial photoshoot, the British actress and model slipped into a show-stopping creation by Indian couturier Gaurav Gupta, known globally for his sculptural, avant-garde silhouettes.
Taking to his Instagram, Gaurav Gupta shared images of Elizabeth Hurley clad in a breathtaking gown from his Autumn/Winter 2024 Couture Collection, aptly named the Moonstone Ivory Crystal Erosion Column Gown. The ensemble, with its celestial allure and red-carpet drama, proves once again why the designer is a favourite among celebrities looking for statement couture.
Take a look at the pictures here.
Sharing the pictures, Gaurav wrote, “@ElizabethHurley1 wears Gaurav Gupta Couture for the @EllenVonUnwerthVon Issue. Elizabeth wears the Moonstone Ivory Crystal Erosion Column Gown from the Autumn Winter ’24 Couture Collection.”.
The gown, true to Gaurav’s signature style, combined futuristic elements with classic glamour. The floor-grazing silhouette was meticulously encrusted with shimmering sequins and crystals, giving the entire garment a moonlit sheen. Its column shape hugged Elizabeth’s frame to perfection, while the long sleeves and high neckline introduced a regal edge, reminiscent of Old Hollywood icons like Grace Kelly and Lauren Bacall.
What made the gown truly distinctive, however, was its sculptural, erosion-inspired texture: an artistic interpretation of Gaurav’s ongoing exploration of time, form, and movement. The intricate metallic embroidery, fused with 3D embellishments, created a textural landscape that shimmered with every movement, playing beautifully against studio lighting.
Rather than competing with the drama of the gown, Elizabeth opted for a refined approach to styling. She wore delicate earrings that added a subtle sparkle without distracting from the garment’s brilliance. Completing the look was a luxurious fur stole in an ivory tone, a nod to vintage glamour that made the entire ensemble feel like a modern-day fairytale. Her beauty look was kept classic: voluminous curls and soft makeup allowed the couture to take center stage while preserving Hurley’s signature elegance.
