Billionaire tech mogul Elon Musk and three of his children met Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday in Washington’s Blair House, videos shared by broadcaster DD News showed.
The video shared by the broadcaster showed Elon Musk giving a gift to PM Modi. The Prime Minister was accompanied by a delegation of highly-placed officials. The SpaceX and Tesla founder was seen with two officials and three children, one of whom was X Æ A-12, nicknamed ‘X’.
X was recently seen with his father at a press conference inside the Oval Office with US President Donald Trump by his side.
The meeting between the owner of social media site X and PM Modi last for around an hour.
“Had a very good meeting with Elon Musk in Washington DC. We discussed various issues, including those he is passionate about such as space, mobility, technology and innovation. I talked about India’s efforts towards reform and furthering ‘Minimum Government, Maximum Governance’,” PM Modi said in a post on X after the meeting ended.
A report by Reuters published earlier this week said that Musk is expected to discuss how Starlink, the satellite internet service, could enter the Indian markets. It remains unclear at this point whether it was discussed or not.
PM Modi is on a two-day visit to the US and is among the few global leaders invited to the White House to meet the new administration.
