Elon Musk goes to war on Ilhan Omar over seminars for Somalis on how to avoid ICE

Elon Musk has blasted Minnesota’s Somali-American Democratic Congresswoman Ilhan Omar for providing advice to illegal migrants on how to avoid ICE.

The billionaire ‘first buddy’ shared a video on X depicting the Democrat’s interview with a reporter discussing her ‘illegal immigrant’ advocacy program.

Omar, 42, informed Somalis who are ‘undocumented or whose documentation might have lapsed’ on what they should do if questioned by US Immigration and Customs Enforcement officers in the now-viral clip.

‘I advise the Somalian people that if ICE attempts to question you, you are not obligated to answer their questions. Just state that you are advised by a lawyer not to answer questions,’ Omar said in the near-minute-long video.

‘Disclosure of your name, immigration status, and the mode of entry is not mandatory. Learn the laws and prepare yourself and refrain from disclosing information that you prefer them not to know.’

Musk shared the video posted by another X user, with the caption, ‘She is breaking the law. Literally. Outright.’

The 42-year-old politician hit back, claiming that the video Musk had shared had been edited and insisted that she had done nothing wrong.

‘Hey, Elon. Every single person in this country deserves to know their rights. That’s legal,’ she said.

‘Maybe you should brush up on our laws given the fact you’re breaking them to steal American’s sensitive data. PS. This video is manipulated, and I wasn’t even at the event shown.’

The viral video prompted Texas lawmaker Brandon Gill to call for Omar to be deported and claim she should have ‘never been let into the country.’

Gill, 30, a Republican congressman from the Lone Star State, claimed on X: ‘America would be a better place if @IlhanMN were deported back to Somalia.’

Omar came to the U.S. as a refugee in 1995 and became a naturalized citizen at 17 in 2000. She has held her position as a representative of Minnesota’s fifth congressional district since January 3, 2019.

The congresswoman’s advice to migrants comes as President Donald Trump leads the largest mass deportation effort in US history.

A senior official in the Trump administration revealed exclusive deportation and arrest numbers to DailyMail.com to cap off his first two weeks back in power.

ICE has deported nearly 6,000 illegal migrants in the first 15 days of Trump’s second term – averaging out to around 370 to 400 deportations per day.

ICE deported 512 illegal immigrants on Monday alone, according to federal data shared with DailyMail.com.

In total, ICE arrested 715 individuals with outstanding immigration violations on Monday.

Of these migrants, 73 percent either had known criminal convictions or pending charges, including homicide, sexual crimes against minors and drug trafficking.

And six Tren de Aragua (TDA) cartel affiliates were arrested on Monday in addition to nine other migrant gang members.

The first flights of migrants to Guantanamo Bay in Cuba that started Tuesday included members of the gang and other ‘high-threat’ aliens tied to the cartel.

‘President Trump’s administration is carrying out his promise to arrest and deport criminal illegal immigrants,’ the senior White House official texted DailyMail.com.

‘There’s more to come. This is just the beginning.’
