Musk’s response came after his supporters claimed attacks targeting the tech billionaire, following reports of attacks on Tesla stores. Gunshots were allegedly fired at a Tesla dealership a few days ago, damaging three cars and shattering windows.
The shooting comes a week after federal prosecutors in Denver charged a woman in connection with vandalism against a Tesla dealership in Colorado, including Molotov cocktails being thrown at vehicles and the words “Nazi cars” spray-painted on the building.
Complaints about outages on X spiked in the early hours of Monday at 3:30 pm and again at 10 am, with over 40,000 users reporting no access to the social media platform, according to DownDetector, which tracks outages by collating status reports from several sources including user-submitted errors on its platform.
Data showed that over 17,871 complaints were logged regarding the microblogging platform at around 3:20 pm. Users again complained of outages at 7:32 pm and 9:32 pm, according to DownDetector.
As per the tracking website, 56% of users faced problems with the app, while 33% reported issues with the website. 11% users encountered server connection errors. Many users on DownDetector complained the app wouldn’t load, and the outage appears to be global. X has not officially responded to any queries.
In March 2023 the social media platform then known as Twitter experienced a bevy of glitches for over an hour as links stopped working, some users were unable to log in and images were not loading for others.
