England announced their playing XI for the first Test match against India at Headingley, which begins on Friday.
All-rounder Chris Woakes is set to return to the team for the first time since December. Additionally, pacer Brydon Carse will play his first Test match on home soil, having previously participated in five Tests in Pakistan and New Zealand.
