WWE Chief Content Officer Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque has claimed everything can change when The Rock attends the company’s SmackDown event later this week. The Brahma Bull surprised the world by announcing on social media that he would return to the WWE during their signature weekly event in New Orleans. After this announcement, the Stamford-based wrestling promotion issued a press release with a message from The Game. “Strap in,” said Triple H, as per WWE’s official website. “When The Final Boss shows up at this time of year, the audience knows absolutely anything is possible. Everything could change in an instant,” he added.
The Rock himself announced the return on Instagram and wrote, “Bold and disruptive. Unpredictable and dangerous. The Final Bossreturns,live on SmackDown tomorrow.” There has beena ton ofspeculation about whether The Great One will be a part of the company’s Show of Shows, scheduled to take place later this year in April.
Shortly beforeThe Rock teased his return, WWEhadannounced a new match for SmackDown.Itwas setto be a Bloodline reunion involving Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa. The Samoan trio were supposed to take on Cody Rhodes, Damian Priest and Braun Strowman in a six-man tag-team match. That announcement, however, was later deleted by the WWE.Not longafter scrapping the main event, the company confirmed The Rock’s return.
