Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has condemned Russia’s continuous attacks on his country and said it is “exposing their attitude towards peace”. He said Russia had launched 200 new drones and Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Ukraine, leaving 10, including four children, wounded and destroying property despite peace talks with US President Donald Trump.
He took to X stating, “Russian strikes on Ukraine do not stop, despite their propaganda claims. Every day and every night, nearly a hundred or more drones are launched, along with ongoing missile attacks. With each such launch, the Russians expose to the world their true attitude towards peace.”

The Ukrainian leader thanked emergency service personnel, police officers, medics and others who provide service to the war-torn nation relentlessly.
“Yet always—even under the most difficult conditions—our people can count on the immediate support of the State Emergency Service personnel, police officers, medics, utility workers, and all those who help to clear the rubble, extinguish fires, restore the destroyed, and most importantly, save and protect lives,” he said.
“Last night, the Russians launched nearly 200 “Shahed” drones and decoy UAVs. A massive attack on the Kirovohrad region left 10 people wounded, including four children, and caused damage to homes, a church, and infrastructure,” he said.”
“I thank everyone who works on the ground and helps to eliminate the consequences of Russian terror. We thank those who are always on duty, at the forefront of saving lives. Everyone whose work is a pillar of strength for all of us, something that allows us to continue fighting and living, no matter what,” he added.
Phone call with Trump
In a telephonic conversation with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday said that he has accepted the unconditional ceasefire proposal as proposed by the US.
The Ukrainian President further said that Kyiv is ready to pause strikes on Russian energy and civilian infrastructure.
“One of the first steps toward fully ending the war could be ending strikes on energy and other civilian infrastructure. I supported this step, and Ukraine confirmed that we are ready to implement it. Our teams discussed this step in Jeddah. The American side also proposed an unconditional ceasefire on the frontline, and Ukraine accepted this proposal as well. We will continue working to make this happen,” Zelenskyy said in a post on X.
