A female Miami police officer was suspended after she blatantly ignored a mob of cyclists who attacked a driver in broad daylight.
The savage beating was captured on surveillance footage on March 16 in the middle of a busy intersection between the Adrienne Arscht Center and James L. Knight Concert Hall.
A man driving a black sedan pulled up in the middle of the road, right in front of the patrol car, and appeared to yell at a biker.
At one point, the man, dressed in blue jeans, a black t-shirt and baseball hat, even approached the unidentified police officer and appeared to have a conversation with her before heading back to his vehicle.
While on his way back to his car, more bikers started to surround the man, and within moments a swarm of them pounced on the driver.
The bikers were seen repeatedly kicking and stomping the man all while the police officer watched on.
Chaos quickly escalated as the cyclists jumped on the man’s car and broke his windshield, while others threw rocks at the vehicle.
Several bikers then dragged the man right in front of the police car and continued to beat him up. One of them even threw a bike on top of the driver.

The unidentified cop has since been suspended for her actions. The exact injuries of the victim remain unclear
Soon, other police officers arrived at the scene after receiving a call of a bicyclist versus motorist dispute involving an assault and tried to break up the situation, NBC 6 reported.
It was only then that the female officer decided to get out of her car and walk up to the fight.
Some of the cops tackled the riders just before they all appeared to pedal off.
The condition of the driver is unknown and it is unclear if any of the bikers were arrested or charged as a result. The assault is currently under investigation.
The Miami Police Department said an internal investigation is also underway due to the officer’s lack of response.
Miami Police Chief Manual Morales said she has been relieved of duty pending the investigation.
‘The members of the Miami Police Department understand and take great pride in upholding their responsibility to protect and serve our community,’ Morales said.
‘We must act for the betterment of our community.’

The brazen cyclists are known to escape from the scene of the attacks by using the Venetian Causeway, the outlet reported.
‘On bicycles, throwing punches, wreaking havoc,’ one worried resident said.
A similar incident occurred in a residential Los Angeles neighborhood in January as a massive crowd of bicyclists took over the street.
Video revealed a white Mercedes-Benz zooming through the street while dodging cyclists and even veering into the wrong side of the road.

The vehicle swerved through the cyclists and just narrowly missed them as screams could be heard in the background.
The cyclists yelled at one another to ‘move’ and ‘watch out’ for the unhinged vehicle.
The Mercedes-Benz continued to speed around the bikers, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic.
A separate clip appeared to show the same cyclists attacking the car in a parking garage.
A mob of people stomped on the car and smashed the windows in. Another person in a gray jacket fled the scene as others chased after him.
