La Liga giants Real Madrid eked out a 1-0 win over Italian outfit Juventus in the Round of 16 encounter of the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on Wednesday at the Hard Rock Stadium in Florida to move into the quarterfinals of the revamped edition of the tournament in the USA.
Gonzalo Garcia headed the ball into the back of the net in the 54th minute of the game to help the Spanish giants move into the last-eight of the tournament.

The strike was the 21-year-old’s third in the ongoing tournament, after he also netted against in his side’s opening 1-1 draw against Al Hilal and 3-0 win over RB Salzburg in the group stages of the event.

Real Madrid are slated to take on German heavyweights Borussia Dortmund, who posted a 2-1 win over Mexican side Monterrey, in the quarterfinal of the tournament at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey on the 6th of July with a place in the semis of the revamped tournament up for grabs.
Serhou Guirassy’s brace helped Dortmund edge out Monterrey as German Berterame’s second-half strike for the Mexican outfit went in vain.
