‘Fight To Save Constitution,’ Says Rahul Gandhi As Police Detain Opposition MPs Amid Protest

India Bloc leaders, including Rahul Gandhi and Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav were detained amid their ‘vote-chori’ march, that began from Parliament’s Makar Dwar and was to conclude at Election Commission’s headquarters in the national capital.The Delhi Police has said that no permission was sought for the march; however, Senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh clarified that he mentioned the protest march in a letter to the Election Commission of India (ECI).Reacting to the march by the Opposition MPs over Bihar SIR, BJP leader and Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan said, “Congress lies about EVMs, raises the issue of Maharashtra elections and Haryana elections and creates a mountain of lies.
