Emily Osment has filed for divorce from husband Jack Anthony – just five months after the pair tied the knot in October 2024.
The Hannah Montana alum, 32, filed court documents on Friday and cited ‘irreconcilable differences’ as the reason for their shock split, according to TMZ.
The estranged couple said ‘I do’ on October 12 of last year and the former Disney channel star listed their date of separation as December 7 – nearly two months after their wedding.
Osment and Jack – whose real name is Jack Farina – both signed prenups and do not share any children, per the documents.
In a statement to TMZ, Emily shared: ‘I think with any big decision in your life, whether it’s relationships or work or whatever it may be, you have to firmly plant both feet in that decision. Ultimately, it didn’t work out.’
The pair have mainly kept their relationship out of the public eye but last year before Halloween, Emily confirmed that she was a married woman on CBS Mornings.

While talking to host Gayle King, the actress expressed at the time: ‘It’s great so far. These past four days have been glorious.’
The same month, she gave a little more insight into the private nuptials while appearing on The Drew Barrymore Show.
Emily also revealed that her older brother and fellow actor, Haley Joel Osment, was one of the groomsmen on the big day.
‘It was really cute. I loved being able to sort of have him support me in that way, to support both of us in that way. He just nailed it,’ the Young Sheldon actress said.
‘I’ve only been a wife for four days, by the way. It’s really fresh so I’m a little, I might cry… We worked really hard on, on putting this “party” together,’ she continued.
‘I mean, it was a wedding, but we brought all the elements that we love so much about each other and her friends and her family together. And so it really felt like a party which was the best.’
During the episode, Osment also reflected on how she first crossed paths with Jack at a concert.
‘He was dancing in the front row like a lunatic and I just pointed at him and was like, “Who’s that?” And then I went over there and introduced myself. I loved his dancing. And you can tell a lot about a person by the way that they dance.’

In June 2023, Emily announced that she was engaged to Jack after he popped the big question at Yosemite National Park.
She uploaded a photo of her hand to show off her engagement ring while Anthony flashed a cheerful smile in the background.
The actress penned in the caption: ‘This magical, beautiful, kaleidoscope of a person asked me to marry him this weekend.
‘I did not know life could be this sweet or I could ever be this deliriously happy. I am so proud of the life we have built together and the people we have become over the last few years.’
Osment continued, ‘This love is so big and so uniquely ours and I know it can do anything. I am so honored to stand next to you every day. I love you, Jack.’
In another image, she gave her fans a glimpse at how Anthony proposed while also showing off her ring once again.
Two circular pins were placed next to her hand that included baby photos of both her and Jack. ‘Will you marry me?’ was written on Jack’s pin while ‘Yes’ was penned on hers.
While further details of their wedding are not known, Emily did briefly open up about the preparations for the ceremony.

During a past interview with Entertainment Tonight, she expressed, ‘It’s great. I think because I’m marrying the greatest guy every, the wedding planning isn’t that hard.’
And three important must haves for the wedding included a ‘comfortable change of shoes, a personal drink that has to be filled constantly and good music.’
Jack’s Instagram account is private but the pair seemingly first began dating back in 2021.
He also works in a few different sectors such as strategic partnerships, and has dabbled in the music industry as a singer, songwriter and a producer.
Osment has previously been linked to her Hannah Montana co-star Mitchel Musso as well as Jimmy Tatro and therapist Jim Gilbert.
