Former running back Eddie Hill, who played for both the Los Angeles Rams and Miami Dolphins, has died at the age of 67.
Hill had been battling brain cancer and the Dolphins mourned his death with a statement on social media on Monday.
‘We are saddened by the passing of former Dolphins running back Eddie Hill, who played for the team from 1981-84,’ Miami wrote on X.
Hill was selected in the second round of the 1979 draft by the Rams out of Memphis. He had 234 yards rushing and one touchdown for the Rams in 23 games before he was traded to the Dolphins.
In four seasons in Miami, Hill rushed for 209 yards and one TD in 52 games. He added 171 receiving yards and two touchdown catches in his career.
