Formula 1 and the FIA have announced the schedule for the 2025 Formula One World Championship, unveiling several changes aimed at improving the geographical flow of the season. The highly anticipated 75th season will kick off with the Australian Grand Prix, reclaiming its position as the season opener.

One of the most notable adjustments involves the timing of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix. These races have been moved to April with Ramadan occurring in March 2025. Unlike last season, when they were held on Saturdays, both will return as Sunday night races.

The Chinese Grand Prix has also been rescheduled and will now take place as the second race of the season, ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix. The season will begin two weeks later than usual, allowing teams extra time to finalize their car developments ahead of pre-season testing. Testing is set to take place in Bahrain from February 26 to February 28.

Another significant change involves a reshuffling of Hungary and Belgium on the calendar. Hungary will reclaim its traditional spot as the last race before the summer break, with Belgium preceding it in a double-header. The summer break will follow, during which teams will observe the mandatory factory closure.

These adjustments aim to streamline the season while accommodating logistical and cultural considerations, ensuring a smoother championship for teams, drivers, and fans alike.
