Girlfriend rushes into the arms of her lover in emotional airport reunion… two weeks later she’s found dead

A Florida woman recorded in a heartfelt airport reunion with her boyfriend was found dead in her apartment just two weeks after they moved in together.

Yannelis de la Caridad Casales, 30, jumped into her boyfriend, Carlos Yordanis Aldana, 38, arms last month at the Jacksonville airport.

The couple had been together for six years, but Aldana had just arrived in the United States from Cuba after serving a three-year prison sentence, reported NBC Miami.

Two weeks after their emotional reunion, Casales was found stabbed to death in their apartment, and Aldana was charged with her murder, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

Police were called to the grisly scene at an apartment complex off the Arlington Expressway on March 30.

Officers found Aldana outside of the building, bleeding from stab wounds to his left hand and shin.

‘A trail of blood led officers from where Aldana was found to a crime scene in an apartment unit,’ the sheriff’s office said.

Once inside, officers found Casales with multiple stab wounds and pronounced her dead at the scene.

Surveillance footage obtained by Univision appeared to show a bloodied Aldana walking through the apartment stairwell.

In the footage, Aldana can allegedly be heard saying, ‘I killed her,’ CiberCuba reported.

The couple met in Cuba when Aldana was already living in the United States. Three years ago, while on vacation to the island, he was detained by authorities for an unspecified case.

While Aldana was serving his time, Casales moved to the United States with an I-220A document.

An I-220A document, also known as an ‘Order of Release on Recognizance,’ is an ICE document that allows a migrant to be released from custody while their immigration proceedings are pending.

On March 16, Casales posted their emotional airport reunion video to Facebook with the caption, ‘You are the dream I always pray for. Welcome home.’

Casales ran to Aldana from across the airport, holding red, white and pink heart balloons, then jumped into his arms.

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said after speaking with witnesses and gathering evidence, Aldana was arrested and charged with murder.

Casales loved ones have set up a GoFundMe to raise money for her funeral expenses.

‘Our beloved friend Yannelis Casales, her life was tragically taken Sunday, March 30,’ the fundraiser said.

‘She was the life and soul of the parties. Her friends and family are devastated.’
