The Overboard actress, 78 – who recently revealed the risqué secret behind her 40-year relationship with Kurt Russell – opened up about her MindUP Foundation while visiting the ABC show.
Upon arriving to the studio, the star flashed a cheerful smile while donning a dark navy blazer that was buttoned at the front, as well as a pair of matching trousers.
Hawn additionally wore a white, lace top and slipped into a pair of closed-toed, blue pumps to coincide with the color scheme of her outfit.

‘This is amazing,’ she stated on GMA . ‘I mean, our educators are everything. And one of the things that happens with MindUP, with our program, is that it is also for our educators to reduce stress’

‘So for me, that put me in trauma. I figured that these children are going to be experiencing some level of that. In which case, I then created this program. I’m not the founder, I am the creator.’
Hawn added, ‘And I thought, “Why aren’t children learning about their brain? Why do we ask them to use it, but don’t teach them anything about how to use it?” So, that’s the first thing in our program.’
The foundation also promotes ‘brain break in the classroom’ which ‘helps calm their amygdala down. They know exactly what is going on in their brain.’
‘If we give them context, then they actually have more agency over their emotions so they know how to regulate…’
Hawn added, ‘And I thought, “Why aren’t children learning about their brain? Why do we ask them to use it, but don’t teach them anything about how to use it?” So, that’s the first thing in our program’

The First Wives Club star later expressed, ‘If we don’t start looking at our children seriously as the next generation…we have so much mental issues right now, we’ve got suicide, it’s gotten worse…’
‘So this is an area where we’ve got to look at this because we’re developing minds, and when we develop brains, we do it in the classroom.’
‘And they have much more cognition around this, and then they know how to open their prefrontal cortex so they can learn.’
Towards the end of the interview, Hawn stated, ‘For parents, I think you need to also – just remember, loneliness is something that can happen.’
‘Take your friends and try to be with them, but don’t stop listening to your children,’ she added.

‘People who have healthy sexual relationships usually last a lot longer. But it’s not just because of the act, it’s because of the warmth and the intimacy that it creates,’ Goldie said, then jokingly added, ‘You have to be nice to each other upon occasion.’
She also expressed, ‘You know you’re not the same person. You don’t think the same way oftentimes. And you have to accept that, but you have to measure are we having fun, or is this something we want to do?’
‘Do we have laughs together? Do we share certain things? You don’t have to share everything.’
Hawn continued, ‘We have a lot of expectation, I think, around relationships, but you have to like the person. That’s very important.’
