Gemini Live is available for free to Android users and soon they can get a summary of all their chats with the AI chatbot.

Summary for your chats with Gemini Live is a much needed tool

Gemini Live is getting a new feature from Google that will make it simpler to monitor user conversations with the chatbot. Google is creating a new button for discussion summaries, which will turn the two-way audio conversation into an extensive report with bullet points and paragraphs, according to reports. The feature is supposed to show up once the chat is over, but the way itis implemented might change before it is made available to the general public.

Gemini Live is the voice-based feature within the Gemini app for Android that allows you to have one-on-one conversations with the AI chatbot.

The company is also developing the conversation summaries in the Live feature, according to an Android Authority report. In the Google app beta version 16.6.23, the publication found proof of the feature when dissecting an Android application package (APK). Beta testers will not be able to test the functionality just yet, though, as it it is not online as of now.

After a conversation concludes, the new Gemini Live feature shows up as a little box in the bottom-left corner of the Gemini app, according to the screenshots the publication posted. The feature just displays a brief prompt in its current state, which Gemini can share by tapping the box.

As per the screenshots, clicking the box button triggers a detailed prompt asking Gemini to function as a“highly skilled conversational AI assistant specialising in generating summaries.”

In addition, the prompt specifies that the summary must“create a non-generic title,” “generate a brief, paragraph-style summary,”and refrain from using fluff. After sharing the prompt with Gemini, it creates a comprehensive synopsis of the entire conversation.

The feature seems to be in its most basic version, as seen in the screenshots, and it probably won’t be released that way. Meanwhile, Android Authority speculated that Google might either add a button to the Gemini Live interface to generate summaries automatically or automate the process and generate them after every chat. It is unlikely that users will still see the initial question in either scenario, and the procedure would probably go to the backend.
