Donald Trump met with Prince of Wales William and held discussions over a range of global issues.
US President-elect Donald Trump met William, Prince of Wales, after the ceremonial reopening of the Notre Dame cathedral in Paris on Saturday and called him a “great man”.
The duo shook hands and held a brief interaction at the ceremony. They met after the event for nearly 40 minutes at the British ambassador’s residence in Paris. Prince William met Trump at the door and said,” Great to see you”.
What Did Trump Say About Prince William?
“Great man this one. He’s going to do a fantastic job,” Trump said as both posed for photos.
Trump and Prince William discussed various global issues, however, maintained their focus on the UK-US relationship.
Prince William was also expected to hold a meeting with First Lady Jill Biden who attended the ceremony on behalf of outgoing US President Joe Biden.
His meeting with Trump and Jill was planned before the Paris ceremony, however, was rescheduled due to his delayed arrival in the city due to bad weather.
